Vets at Night

As a small practice, to enable time for our staff to rest and refresh we are unable to provide full 24-hour cover for our patients. Our staff will answer the phone between 8am-7pm weekdays and 8.30-12pm on Saturdays. For emergencies outside these hours, we have decided to use the out of hours service at the Pride veterinary hospital on Pride Park.  

Remember with our comprehensive care plan, all daytime consultations at Highfields Vets are included so please utilise this if your pet is starting to become unwell, it may prevent a visit to out of hours with a more urgent situation developing.  If a patient needs hospitalisation overnight, a discussion will take place as to what the best care for your pet will be.
